More than 450 AP colleagues from Texas to Wyoming and Germany to Costa Rica attended the nation’s only College Board-certified Advanced Placement for All Summer Institute (APSI), July 11-15, 2016 at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The Pacific AP® Institute offers intensive four day teacher-training sessions designed to develop and fine tune the skills of both beginning and experienced AP® teachers. All sessions will be conducted by faculty members chosen for their dynamic presentation skills and involvement with the Advanced Placement program. An overall view of the course syllabus will be presented along with extensive discussions of course planning and management. The sessions will also focus on selecting materials and preparing students for the AP® exam. The Institute also offers a unique opportunity for teachers to network with other teachers in their subject areas.
Hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, this Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institute offers a unique learning experience for teachers interested in expanding their knowledge of AP course content, structure, and methodology. Learn from experienced AP consultants and UW-Madison faculty members who are dedicated to improving student achievement by providing teachers with valuable tools and strategies for their classrooms.
Since 1998, the Advanced Placement Summer Institute at Woodward Academy has assisted teachers in better understanding the demands of AP classrooms and high-ability learners.
Consultants are experienced AP teachers and College Board endorsed consultants who have demonstrated their ability to help other teachers prepare to teach Advanced Placement classes. The AP Summer Institute is endorsed by the College Board.
This full day conference is designed for AP and Pre-AP teachers to learn and grow through the sharing of best practices in the classroom. The agenda includes two breakout sessions in the morning followed by a powerful keynote address. The popular roundtable sessions will remain on the schedule for the afternoon time slot. In these collaborative sessions, AP teachers of the same course share ideas that are specific to their course.
TEDX ClarkstonEd is an independently organized TED event, organized almost entirely by a group of 15 Junior and Senior students who attend Clarkston High School in conjunction with members of the teaching and administrative staff.
